Book Review: Lost in Between by K.L. Kreig

Lost in Between by K.L. Kreig

Hey babes! I’ve had this downloaded on my kindle through kindle unlimited for awhile but finally got around to reading it! I got distracted by other books. Lol. I’ve loved a few of her books so I was really excited to read this!

Blurb

We all have one.

A price.

That magic number that will get us to agree to do anything, be anything.

Don’t sit on your gold-plated high horse and say you don’t because you do. Everyone does. Each of us has something we covet enough that we’d sell ourselves to have it.

What’s my tipping point, you ask? Apparently a cool quarter mil will do the trick.

What does one do for 250 large, you wonder? Anything the infamous, gorgeous playboy of Seattle wants. For the next four months I’ll be Shaw Mercer’s arm candy, his beck and call girl, his faux girlfriend. I’ll be his to command, mold, push and pull in any direction he sees fit.

I’ll fight falling into bed with him. I’ll fight falling in love with him even harder. I’ll fail at both. And when my past and present collide in the most unexpected of ways, I’ll learn that while one man’s love for me has never died, the only man’s love I really want will never be mine.

*If dirty-talking, dominant alphas are not your thing, move along. Mature, 18+ only. Book 1 in a 2-part duet.

My Review!

This is the first of two books. The second book comes out at the end of the month and I cannot wait!! I couldn’t put this one down! I feel like the story was just getting started and there was so much more to reveal!

This is told in both of their point of views. Shaw is a 36 year old rich, cocky playboy. He has no plans of settling down anytime soon but he can’t say no to family. His father is the mayor and up for re-election. His wants Shaw to cool down his playboy ways for the next four months and settle down with a girlfriend. Willow is a 26 year old who has a lot of responsibility. She hasn’t had an easy life. Her older sister died from a drug overdose and her father committed suicide leaving her to take care of her mother who has Alzheimer’s.

Willow works as an audiobook narrator by day and an escort by night but the bills are getting to be too much for her. When Shaw offers her $250,000 to be his fake girlfriend for four months, she can’t turn him down. It starts off as a business only deal but soon turns into something more. As much as she tried to resist, she can’t help but start to fall in love with him. At the end she’s finally starting to tell him some of her secrets but she still has more to reveal. Does he too?! Ahh I can’t wait!! Lol.

I really liked how Willow was her own person and took care of herself. She didn’t think twice about putting Shaw in his place. I also really liked their back and forth witty banter! They had an undeniable chemistry and the sex scenes were hot! All in all, I loved this book!! I definitely recommend it if you like the fake boyfriend/girlfriend almost instalove type of books or if you are already a fan of her books. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

  1. Oh my goodness. I want this! The fact that you couldn’t put it down is enough for me. I love that it is scandalous and has a sequel coming out! I have been reading any Liane Moriarty book I can get a hold of, but I lack time. I also want the new one out by the author of The Girl on the Train. The name escapes me at the moment. Paula something.

    1. I really like her books! Black Swan Affair was probably my favorite book I’ve read this year!! Forsaking Gray was really good too! I tend to prefer books that are in a series for whatever reason. I’ve been wanting to read The Girl on the Train but haven’t got around to it yet. My book wishlist is a mile long. Lol
